AIMSSEC Academic Manager

has 32 years teaching experience as a mathematics teacher, 19 years as head of a mathematics department and 7 years as deputy principal.  He also has 10 years experience as provincial examiner and served as a panel member setting the national examination for grade 12 mathematics for 5 years. He has 12 years experience as AIMSSEC Academic Manager designing course material and organising training courses. He has made many contributions to the improvement of mathematics education through various presentations at congresses, conferences and in-service training of mathematics teachers.  One of his proudest moments was when AIMSSEC was awarded the prestigious UNESCO-Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers. The ceremony took place in Dubai on 24 April 2012. A further highlight was in January 2016, when lecturers from AIMSSEC delivered training to Master Trainers in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The training was to support a national project, the AIMS MasterCard Foundation Mathematics Teacher Training Programme (MTTP). The Master Trainers included mathematics lecturers at universities and the Higher Teacher Training Colleges (HTTCs), Inspectors and experienced teachers.
